In this project, first, with extensive research in scientific sources, the latest technologies related to geomechanics in the field of oil industry were identified. Then, by holding specialized panels and asking opinions from industrial and academic experts, the real needs of the country in this field were identified and prioritized. Finally, the roadmap of geomechanical technologies was designed and presented.
BoreGuard: Wellbore Stability Intelligence for NIOC
This project was carried out with the aim of investigating the wellbore stability in several oil fields in southwestern Iran under the influence of mechanical and chemical factors. In this project, several laboratory tests were performed on drill cores in different conditions. Finally, a process for determining the safe mud weight window was presented.
